About Me

My name is Charlie Carlee (yes, it rhymes). I am a Ph.D. student in the School of Public and International Affairs. I am majoring in International Relations and have a minor in Political Methodology. I am a former infantry and amphibious assault Marine. I have a BA in History from the University of Southern Mississippi and a MA in Political Science and International Affairs from UGA. My research mostly focuses on political violence, organized dissent, terrorism, and human rights.  When I am not spending hours upon hours reading academic journals, I enjoy playing guitar, singing Beatles' songs to my son Charlie III, and taking my very playful Jack Russell terrier Lucy for long walks.

More detailed information on my research and teaching can be found at the links above.
